Derivatives Lawyer Position with Ontario Teachers Pension Plan

With assets exceeding $96.4 billion, the Ontario Teachers Pension Plan is one of North Americas largest institutional investors, which both invests the pension funds assets and administers the pensions of 289,000 active and retired teachers in Ontario.

The Candidate

The Plans top calibre Legal Department is seeking to add an exceptional lawyer to their team in Toronto. This newly created position provides an excellent opportunity to work on leading edge investment matters with some of Canadas top financial and legal professionals. The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities and attributes:

Reporting to the General Counsel/SVP, Corporate Affairs, the successful candidate will support the business on a wide variety of derivative matters and structured products, and advise on relevant legislative and regulatory developments.

The ideal candidate will have 6-10 years of experience in derivatives and other complex investment products from a top tier firm or a major financial institution. Our client is seeking an experienced lawyer with an ability to blend strong technical skills with sound business judgement.
